As we head into summer, it’s time to reflect…like always. Now, time to reflect on the semester.
My Goals for the Past Semester
Looking at my original blog, I can say I completed some of my goals. One was to have fun with my classes, and I have had fun with them. Animal Behavior has been wild but I finished my semester project with my group. French, it was pretty fun but also we had a lot of no class days. I also had a fun French presentation to do, and I think my final will also be really fun. Finally, hydrogeology was really fun. I mean learning about streams and contamination- fun!
For Tech Bar goals, I didn’t do all the challenges I did but Moreso because I moved them for the fall semester. I have done the other challenges I wanted to do but I have a few ideas for the ones for next semester. A few that will be during our meetings. But, my other goal is to create a consistent schedule is that I did have a consistent schedule but once I got busy and I didn’t have my stories to rely on I fell apart for that one week and that’s all it took. We will try again next semester. I also (with help) was able to redo the Tech Bar Appointment Page
Finally, my Minecraft world I didn’t complete one zone but I am getting closer to completing the pink zone. I think that it will be too difficult to finish a zone in a semester unless I could devote all my time to it. I’ve also started playing with friends again so my singleplayer world will be sitting back while I build with other people.

I was very, and I mean very close to a lot of bingos but I finally got a bingo! I want to discuss how I reached this achievement.
Have an “outside work” event. Back in March, the day before spring break we had our pi day event and I know May 2nd will be our Tech Bar awards show which is also an outside of work time. But the quotes are due to it being during my shift, but not others and during our weekly meetings.
Watch all the episodes of Community. As mentioned previously, I usually stop within Season 4 or 5 and this time I did, I managed to get through the G.I. Joe episode and by that time it was all a walk in the park. My biggest issue was that I would start a show and never finish it, like Parks and Rec and Severance; I still need to finish them.
Free Space. Possibly, the easiest space to achieve because I just had to cross it off.
Update my Minecraft World Map. I pushed this one off because while it is an easy task, I wanted to save it for when I could actually have a “before” and “after” or at least more progress from the middle of last semester. But on my birthday I built a beautiful map room and that’s when I updated the maps as a celebration of the achievement.
Create a desktop wallpaper. I had many ideas for them and I wanted to draw it- similar to my desktop wallpaper from freshman year. I did it, and this one is not my favorite wallpaper but I like it as a way to test out new brushes on Procreate that normally, I wouldn’t use.
