Spring Break

Spring Break

So, last week was…spring break. I guess I should talk about it.

The Weekend

I watched the hangover trilogy on Saturday, except my TV didn’t let me watch the 2nd one so..I watched the 1st and 3rd. I packed, and Sunday we drove to the airport.

South Carolina

We landed in South Carolina, Sunday afternoon. First thing we did was go to our favorite restaurant (Sea Captain’s House) and the food wasn’t bad. The hushpuppies were great. I had a shrimp po-boy. Then, we drove to our place of staying. Then, we went shopping.

On Monday, we drove somewhere to paint pottery. Then, we went shopping again. Then, we went back to our resort. For the end of the night, we drove to the beach. It was dark out, and it was a new moon.

On Tuesday, I was awoken and we walked to the beach. I found some cool shells, and I yoinked them with me. Then, we went to the outlet mall I don’t remember why. For the rest of the day we drove down to the Brookgreen Garden (we had an hour and a half until it closed). We saw an alligator.

Wednesday, we went to Charleston. We paid too much for parking, way too much. Then, we ate at a fancy hotel restaurant, the food was great. We shared a plate of fried green tomatoes. I had a shrimp burger. We walked around, through the market. We ended up by a body of water, my mom got a palmetto rose. We then raced against the clock to the Charleston tea garden. We got tea there, we went last year so we didn’t need to tour it. Then, we backtracked and went to the angel oak. The gift shop was about to close when we got there, but I got a cool tree. Then, by the angel oak we went to a farmer’s market that was at a church. I had the best ice cream sandwich ever there. I also bought other stuff. Then, we drove home.

Thursday I was awoken to go to the beach, again. I found more shells, an older man gave us some more shells. I found a really cool giant piece of coral but my mom wouldn’t let me take it home. I was sad. Then, we ate breakfast before playing mini golf. We went to a place that had neon green water. After lunch, we went to the beach. My mom wanted to rest so I took a walk. I walked for 2 miles, finding shells, looking into storm drains and talking to random people. I only returned once my mom called me. It was very low tide so find my iPhone made it look like I was in the ocean. I got a sunburn. Then, we went to get jamba juice because we had a really great coupon for some. Then we went and bought pie.

Friday we played more mini golf. We had a coupon. I won at all 3 rounds of mini-golf. Then we went back to our hotel and had a pool day, I drew because I was in pain for some reason. Then it rained, and afterwards we went to the beach.

Saturday, we woke up early and went to the beach. Then, we had a quick breakfast and went to the St. Patty’s day parade. I sat in mulch and got a bubble blower. I also got candy, and these nice older women next to us helped us get some candy. People there take St. Patrick’s Day very seriously, they were selling alcohol before 9 a.m., and then after the parade there was a festival. We didn’t go, instead we drove to this tourist place. They had a Kwik-e Mart and nothing else. Nope. Then we drove to the Brookgreen Garden to finish what we started. I had a scavenger hunt for statues and I was so determined to finish it. I wandered and we ended up to a place we’ve never been to in that garden. Then, we went to the zoo (it was included with our garden ticket). I finished the scavenger hunt. A bird flew near me. When we saw the otters, we realized I had an allergic reaction. We got to see other animals native to South Carolina, like red wolves. Then, we went shopping afterwards.

Sunday, we woke up at 3:00 and drove to the airport. I got caribou coffee for my mom and I since we didnt get it when we landed. We had wraps for breakfast. We flew to Atlanta, and then got back to Madison at 11 a.m..

Conclusion

That was my break, the end.
