AJR is three brothers (Adam, Jack, and Ryan from left to right) from New York. I initially found them freshman year of high school from Sober Up, and during my junior & senior year of high school I kept getting recommended singles from them and before I knew it I was listening to their albums. I like them because of the sound background as well, Ryan Met (the middle child and the one with glasses) really emphasizes what the background sound is, using unusual sounds as replacements for instruments. For one song instead of a drum beat the use of horse hooves were used instead but altered to sound close enough to a drum. While it’s not always the case there is a lot of layers in their music.
