As we head towards finals week I want to take this as a chance to reflect on my semester. Of course, in my own fashion I also want to reflect on each part of my semester with songs. So, let’s see how I felt my semester went.

August/September

August was a fresh start, I was prepared and I was ready. I was coming off from a work filled summer, and I was ready to room with my three friends. I knew what to do differently this year to have a successful semester. I was ready to get back to work, and I was excited to edit videos again.

October/ Mid Terms

October/Mid Terms was a bit of a struggle. I started dealing with a lot of things and got overwhelmed but I got one video done and that felt very difficult. I even started a little side gig to earn a bit more money, but with all the stuff I was dealing with I had to push that back. By the end of October, I was motivating myself by doing 3D prints, and having those goals were fun. My goal was to do more video editing but by the end of October I was already tired and stressed, so we pushed that goal back too.

November

To say the least, November made it go downhill. Struggling with moving, classes and mental health November was probably the real struggle of my semester. But, by the end of November I started to do a new project, more 3D prints, and I made a goal to finish another video. I started redoing some work for my side gig and things were going up, sadly that was after Thanksgiving break.

December/Finals

Now, it’s December. Things are looking better, I am on top of work, I am editing videos due to my smart goal. I am helping with appointments, I am video editing, working with the 3D printer to do more custom designs/prints and things are looking up. This right now, is the highest point of my semester which is a bit sad but it can only go up from here. I am planning for next semester to hit the ground running and to get videos edited and to make more tutorials.

Overall

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting this semester to be this crazy and lowkey kinda bad. But, it’s fine now. I got changes done, I got through this and now I am going in the right direction. I didn’t plan for this semester to be like this, but it’s how it goes. We just keep on trucking, and now as it’s the end of the semester I am more thankful to have a better final part of my semester because I can improve from all the hardships I had to endure. Now, I am going to finish off my finals and do my best.

The song above (Bandito) is how I felt after all my hardships, after I got through the things I’ve gone through. And, most importantly it’s how I’ll feel once I get home for Winter Break.
