There’s the 3 main bands that I like, and I would call myself an actual fan of them. Like with twenty one pilots, AJR, and Glass Animals I would buy their merch and theorize about their new albums. But, here’s some bands that I also like but I’m not sure what I would categorize myself as (a fan or not).
Imagine Dragons

So Imagine Dragons, I like their music. I’ve been to a concert (technically I went for AJR but I still learned their discography and enjoyed it). I have a concert shirt from them, but I guess I am a fan. I don’t think I would be for the deciphering of new songs/albums (heck I didn’t know they released a new single recently). I think personally I would go to another Imagine Dragons concert, because their music is good (I listened to one album on my drive up from Madison to Door County and was content). Plus Dan Reynolds makes the concert an enjoyable time, he made the concert a form of entertainment separate from
Foster the People

Foster the People is a band I really enjoyed from 8th grade up until my senior year of high school. I liked their discography, and bought vinyl’s of all of their albums. I stopped listening to them to some extent but I still play a few of their songs from time to time but not as much. I think as well, the growth from Foster the People is something where the band is becoming a bit obsolete. Especially in 2021 when their lead drummer left leaving only Mark Foster as their original member. It’s also been said multiple times that Mark Foster (specifically) doesn’t really want to tour, but they will still put out some music. Like their latest “album” in the darkest of nights let the birds sing” wasn’t a full album but an EP.
