On January 8th, it was to be the 10th anniversary of twenty one pilot’s first studio album: Vessel. To celebrate, the band did a livestream that dove into songs, told stories from that time period and played new versions. Even, gave a hint of a new song.

So before the stream it was known that there would be specific merch for this event. Me, like the person I am went into that not certain that I would purchase anything. With the image on the left, I bought it because 4 songs from Regional at Best would be on that vinyl. It should be known that I, love that album so to see these professional released is so exciting….so I ordered it. It’s less than a month away from getting it so I’m excited.

It was such a interesting livestream to experience since the last one they did was Christmas in 2020 (well, besides the livestream experience in May 2021). The band got to more in depth with their history of being a band and even told things that they learned. Some memes also appeared from this livestream with the drummer, Josh Dun.
But, there was also information about one of their popular music videos, Car Radio and how Tyler was able to convince the entire concert to help make that video. Also the appearance of the boys’ fathers and then families (without Jim and a few others). There was also a supposed leak while Tyler shared the process of making one of the songs (and comparing even the old versions with the new). As well, we got to learn more about the Regional at Best and Vessel discussion and got more information on the songs from the album.
Overall, the livestream was great and while we didn’t get intro to baking the live songs were so good and with the difference to their original it was so refreshing. Some of the livestream versions I even prefer to the album kind. Especially since it was so stripped down to just Tyler, his computer sometimes and maybe Josh clicking a button.
