IV)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-a68f00667ef7791c5a8425d5b0a6074a\" style=\"color:#a0364a\">As we wrap up the spring semester, an alternative way to analyze my semester is through song. Our time honored tradition of correlating songs to my semester. Now, let&#8217;s dive into this semester and <em>reflect<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-d3b8aaf236e5d42a94987fd14e4a4e26\" style=\"color:#213819\">January<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed alignright is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Foster The People - Paradise State Of Mind [Official Audio]\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/u6YGvf6ngfY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-440a35d641be76b2ef9de74b12cb9bc9\" style=\"color:#8d8850\">For January, it is &#8220;Paradise State of Mind&#8221; by Foster the People. A lot of January was chill, I came back to SNC a little bit early for my internship and I also travelled out of state. The state of mind is what prepared me for this semester, and it was that readiness by having a J-Term class and that transition felt less like a break and more that I was just warming up for the semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3a99159e8a909d7797114ae6e5f715a1\" style=\"color:#064e9e\">But, PSOM was just that mindset I needed and it really was to relax. I also saw Foster the People in Seattle so I felt like I had to do it (<em>cough<\/em> even though I didn&#8217;t do it for March when I saw another concert <em>cough<\/em>). But, I was hoping so badly this would be on the set list and&#8230;it wasn&#8217;t. Still, this song was the mindset I somewhat had going into the spring semester. A lot of mystery of how things would go, and a lot of uncertainty. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-aeeb4388506cfed9ec6a14077f42ae80\" style=\"color:#e10b07\">February<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed alignleft is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Balu Brigada  - So Cold (Official Music Video)\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ghTVa3-5PTg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-e62d2a8fda23a8a8dc746fdd4477e604\" style=\"color:#f65c4d\">&#8220;So Cold&#8221; by Balu Brigada, I don&#8217;t think the lyrics fully fit except it was a cold Wisconsin and I almost got abandoned at my internship. But, the cold weather, was the so cold part and I don&#8217;t have memorable things about class. Maybe how we had to go out in the cold rain to collect data, February was cold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-0954fbaad8a1ea553878879513d8cf8a\" style=\"color:#f65c4d\">But, my semester was like the bass line very repetitive and at first it was descending before it would pick itself up. I had that simple challenge of not letting myself get disinterested in the material. But also, get discouraged since one of my classes got cancelled a lot during February and I had to make it work but still be interested in the course material. After all, it is my final semester of French :(. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-c346696c1e836d984fadd794f7a43f2f\" style=\"color:#f65c4d\">I also chose this song as a monumental occasion for Balu Brigada, I saw them in Columbus back in October and now with the news of them being signed to a record studio is a great occasion. This is one of my favorite songs from them, and I applaud them for their work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-36db219e3414f52538cfb3e2281b2ebe\" style=\"color:#263151\">March<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed alignright is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"SAINT MOTEL - Life&#039;s A Gas (Official Audio)\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Mst7mkpHcps?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-21d6ad17eebdb8cd35981b8be5691673\" style=\"color:#336bc1\">For March, the song is &#8220;Life&#8217;s A Gas&#8221; by Saint Motel. March was chaotic with Animal Behavior but I was enjoying my semester. I had fun going home for break, my internship has been really fun. It&#8217;s just that excitement of what&#8217;s next- what&#8217;s there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-6b926a4f803776a45dd0e69a661f61d5\" style=\"color:#336bc1\">The highlight of March was going home for a week because while I didn&#8217;t travel anywhere I got to live the life that I left by going to school, as dramatic as that sounds. I got to relax, got to do TGTG and order my favs. Also cut my hair a little bit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-9eac949e30c24f810ec6d78f7d22debc\" style=\"color:#336bc1\">On the zoo aspect, I got to do zookeeper tasks and it was fun, even if it was cold. It was just that change in the ordinary that I love. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-52a8becaa8c9183f810f16769c95b137\" style=\"color:#fde617\">April<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed alignleft is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Twenty One Pilots - Lavish (Official Video)\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/flYgpeWsC2E?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-6b579ed0c1d86359e8e270ee44cd7218\" style=\"color:#e43d35\">For April I chose the song &#8220;Lavish&#8221; by twenty one pilots, for a couple of reasons. For the first part, I got to go on an adventure with my best friend and we just kinda made it a &#8220;Treat Yourself&#8221; morning, and I saw an old friend this month. In the beginning of April, I was advised for my birthday to play &#8216;Lavish&#8217; as it creates a great atmosphere, and by golly it does. But, more importantly one line really hit close to home for my 21st birthday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-6108505504b3a6bcabd6a45e915cff46\" style=\"color:#e43d35\">Lavish is my hype song, starting in the beginning and the music video. The &#8220;You&#8217;re looking real nice, smelling like worth \/ Walk in like you deserve it&#8221; and especially with the music video of Tyler and Josh they are dressed nicely it adds not only a level of style but also that confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-fb5e34a625d2cc9a990ec2ad0ab052a3\" style=\"color:#e43d35\">But, to correlate it to my semester class wise, my exam&#8217;s have made me feel like this. I got a good grade on my Animal Behavior exam, and while writing this blog I have my big presentation to present and my not as big presentation to present. So, how do I prepare? By listening to this song. But, so far my April feels very Lavish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-fd79c4482372323dd074f0e7c95cf9ab\" style=\"color:#a0938a\">May \/ Finals Week<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed alignright is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Glass Animals :: On the Run [Lyric Video]\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/OXX4GUU24fE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-4a0edcd3843b16ed3b3092abdf80c89e\" style=\"color:#78c27f\">While I have no idea if my finals week will exactly be like this, my mind is running through it. For the beginning of May, it feels like &#8220;On the Run&#8221; by Glass Animals. Why? Tech Bar event planning has been keeping me running and also all these last minute appointments. But, work stuff for my summer job that transition from a fun school job to a more adult reputable job and leaving behind my internship is a lot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-b2e55bd1831df175bad6e3e8399db105\" style=\"color:#78c27f\">In other notes, it&#8217;s also that planning I chose with returning for finals and moving out, and my outlook on life. But, we make due with what we have. I don&#8217;t mind being On the Run with all my responsibilities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-4299ede6a800837e2f57aafa2c4ecd08\" style=\"color:#f9c658\">Overall<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed alignleft is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"SAINT MOTEL - Stay Golden (Official Visualizer)\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/WoV1Gk8twFk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-92f5c8053ee819f224f2115500df0848\" style=\"color:#27afc3\">My semester was like: &#8220;Stay Golden&#8221; by Saint Motel since I am going to see them in May before I publish this article but it&#8217;s how I related to in life. Initially, it was an honorable mention for May but I decided, no. Was the vibe of it was relaxing and while I did have stressful events I still managed to stay golden, and relax. I can only hope my final year, and summer are still like &#8220;Stay Golden&#8221;. I was on a car ride but I wasn&#8217;t the passenger- I was the driver.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The tradition never stops!
